Sending pre-arrival emails with personalised experiences
Turneo has a pre-arrival email feature that uses guest data (name, dates of stay, and group composition) to generate a link to AI-powered experience recommendations, tailored to each guest.
1️⃣ What will your guests see?
• A personalised welcome using their name and stay details.
• AI-powered descriptions of recommended experiences.
• 3 curated activities tailored to their group composition.
• Dropdown filters to further customise experience recommendations.
2️⃣ How does it work?
The initial personalisation is done based on parameters added at the end of the link. Once a guest clicks on the link, we will automatically check available experiences during their dates of stay and the group composition to provide relevant suggestions for that specific guest.
The generated link for each guest will have two parts:
- jadebeachresort. com/experiences - your Experience page
- ?w&name=John&from=2025-05-10&until=2025-05-20&group=2_adults - personalisation parameters used to tailor experience recommendations
Once they are on the page, guests can further customise recommended activities using a dropdown with experience categories or visit your whole Experience page.
If a guest booked an experience in the past, previous bookings will be automatically taken into consideration to ensure that recommended activities match the past preferences.
3️⃣ How can you implement it?
To personalise pre-arrival emails and automate it for all your guests, you’ll need to include dynamic parameters at the end of your URL. These parameters will pull guest information from custom fields in your PMS or OTA.
The final link you need to include in the pre-arrival template will look like this:
- jadebeachresort.com/experiences?w&name={{guest_name}}&from={{check_in_date}}&until={{check_out_date}}&group={{number_of_adults}},{{number_of_children}}
*Make sure to use the correct field names from your PMS or OTA. These are typically the same fields used in your booking confirmation emails.
