Creating a great experience

Our best practices to ensure your experience grabs attention and converts to bookings.

1️⃣ Quality photos and videos

πŸ† What good looks like (photos):

βœ… At least 3 photos

βœ… At least 1 video

βœ… Both photos and videos should be professional quality, showing real travelers enjoying the experience.

πŸ‘Ž Mistakes to avoid:

❌ We do not accept photos or videos not authorised for use

❌ We do not accept stock photos

2️⃣ Clear and exciting description

πŸ† What good looks like (experience name):

βœ… Experience name that accurately captures what travelers will be doing

βœ… Highlight that clearly outlines what makes this experience unique

βœ… Description includes any key details travelers should know before booking

βœ… At least one inclusion or exclusion

πŸ‘Ž Mistakes to avoid:

❌ Very short or generic highlights and descriptions

❌ Misleading or β€œoverselling” what the experience involves

❌ Failing to communicate any add-ons that need to be bought on the day

3️⃣ Future availability

πŸ† What good looks like:

βœ… At least one active rate on any active experience

βœ… Availability connected to your reservation system where possible

βœ… Proactive management of availability for future bookings

πŸ‘Ž Mistakes to avoid:

❌ Waiting until you start operating to add availability (you miss travelers wanting to book in aadvance)

❌ Letting experiences and rates expire before adding new availability

4️⃣ Smooth booking experience

πŸ† What good looks like:

βœ… 24hr cancellation policy

βœ… Zero bookings expiring before they are accepted / rejected

βœ… Reasonable cut off time for your business

πŸ‘Ž Mistakes to avoid:

❌ Forgetting overnight bookings when setting the cut-off time (e.g. if someone books at 2AM for an 8AM)

❌ Failing to respond to bookings so travelers don’t know if they are confirmed or not

5️⃣ Meeting point

πŸ† What good looks like:

βœ… Up to date, working google maps link

βœ… Instructions for finding the experience organizer

βœ… Contact phone number to use on the day

πŸ‘Ž Mistakes to avoid:

❌ Using generic description that travelers can’t necessarily follow e.g. β€œMeet by the boat”

❌ Only providing an email address so travelers can’t call on the day
