Creating QR codes with tracked links

It is important to use tracking on any links you create (whether embedded in emails or via QR codes, etc.) as it will allow you to get more out of your Insights Hub.

Please use this page for instructions on:

➡️ Creating a tracked link

  1. Find the URL you want the link to point to e.g.

Decide the UTM medium categories you want to track. We suggest:

  1. pre_arrival - for any pre arrival emails you’ll be sending
  2. poster - for any in-hotel materials you’ll be printing
  3. TV - for any screens you’ll be projecting onto at the property
  4. keycard - if you’re added information to guests’ keycards
  5. social-media - for any links you’re including on instagram, facebook, or other social media channels
  6. web - for anything added to your website
  7. Note: If you cannot see an appropriate category above, you can use your own campaign medium terminology

Create your link by typing

followed by your chosen category e.g. poster

The result should look something like this:

➡️ Creating a QR code

  1. Go to https://www.qr-code-generator.com/
  2. Copy and paste the campaign URL you generated (see instructions above) e.g. https://www.jadebeachresort.com/experiences?utm_source=jade-beach&utm_medium=poster
  3. Click “Download”
    1. Note: you can choose “Print Quality” for print materials but you will have to sign up to the “Pro” version of the QR code generator
    2. Similarly if you want to add a logo, frame, or change the shape and colour you will have to sign up to the “Pro” version of the QR code generator
?utm_medium=
